I have to have ten blogs from the trip and I accidently missed one so I am going to talk about the BB king club we went to in Nashville. Let me just say it was so cool! We got there and we didn’t have to pay 5 dollars to get in, only 2.50, because we are good like that. :-) We walked in and a girl jumped down from the countertop and started shaking her rear at us. It was really funny. Then we proceeded around the corner and there were people dancing everywhere and people were playing the blues and it was the most awsome thing I have ever seen!! That was probably my most memorable part of Nashville. Besides the singing rapper that rapped to us down the street! :-)
Hello. We are back in Springfield. I am actually sitting in the HTV room right now. We are looking back at the stories that we produced on the trip and they arent to shabby. :) My favorite spot we stayed would have to be Nashville because it was very home like and it wasnt craziness. The trip was a lot of fun and it was a once in a lifetime experience. Although it sorta stunk packing up and unpacking every 24 hours. Oh well… I am very happy with the trip.
I keep singing that. And I keep getting corrected. So I’ll stop. It’s not like I prefer Memphis or anything, I just love that song! I also love Nashville so far! I had an incredible meal at Demo’s, their signature steak and spaghetti - amazinggg! And really inexpensive considering the quality of the food. And the wait staff was so nice! I have suffered my whole life of having a terrible fear of waiters so I really appreciate the good ones. And after dinner we were free to walk around (IF you didn’t have to shoot). We found a fun restaurant that played live music (and allowed people of all ages) and hung out there. We also met this unbelievable freestyle rapper who included us in his song! Needless to say we bought his $4 CD. I’m sure he’ll be a big hit someday so that won’t feel like a waste of money.
We get to play all day in Nashville tomorrow and then sleep on the bus overnight as we head for home. This trip has been an epic experience and I have enjoyed every moment. But I’m ready to sleep in my own bed.
Today we woke up at 7 o clock and left by 8. We didn’t have a continental breakfast but the seeing the ocean out of our window made up for it. I loved Virginia Beach and I just want to give a shout out to DOUG! HELLO!! hehe.
So the moment that we left everyone was asleep on the bus. We had a five or six hour bus ride and there wasn’t really anything exciting that happened. Except Fran and I had the on the bus feature and we did it on a race track, which is pretty much amazing. We will have it uploaded tomorrow so don’t miss it!
Also….we found a mall….an awesome one. It had all these amazing stores and we had so little time to shop. Well…I got some prett cool stff. But I wont go into detail. :-)
We are leaving at 9 o clock tomorrow. And we are on our way to NAshville, our last stop til Springfield! YAY! I mean don’t get me wrong, I love this trip but I am really ready to sleep in my own bed and eat my homemade food and hug my daddy…. :-(. There is truly no place like home. Until Next time.
Today we woke up at 830 A.M. We went down to the continental breakfast. I had a glass of milk and a bowl of cereal, it was very refreshing. Then we left and it was a 20 min. bus ride to the Newseum. That was so cool! I got really sad though because it was talking about all of the big events that had happened throughout history. The event that really got me was 9 11. We watched a movie on it and I cried, I admit. Then we went down to the Holocaust museum. It was really moving and I learned a lot that I never knew. If you get the chance to go I would take it.
After that we went to Urban outfitters, which I admit, cheered me up quite a bit.
One thing I have noticed on this trip is that the boys are more girly than we are. Weird.
We found something to eat at a little restaurant. I forgot what it was called but it was sooo good. Seriously, the best burger I have ever had. We ate fast because Elli was supposed to come get us with the bus. We got on the bus and some guy thought it was an actual city bus and tried to get on. I mean common, in Springfield I could see that happening but Washington? Really? We told him no and trotted to our seats. We got back to the hotel and stayed in for the night because we are getting up really early tomorrow to go to Virginia Beach.
I am tired and am going to fall asleep so will catch up tomorrow. Ta Ta for now!
Today we left New York City and made our way to Washington D.C. The drive wasn’t that bad. It was only four or five hours. We stopped at a Walmart and I didn’t feel like getting out of the bus so I used the bathroom on the bus. It wasn’t that bad, smelled ok, good toilet paper. I was satisfied. We got to our hotel and then went to the memorials. They are amazing. So beautiful. I took a lot of pictures and Fran, Charles and I went and took some that were pretty memorable. Now we are at the hotel ordering pizza because coach didnt plan on us eating tonight. It’s 12 and we are waiting for pizza. Talk about a midnight snack. Tomorrow I have a story and I am planning on going to some different museums. Until next time…..
I will right back here in a little bit after I eat….Ya thats right, I haven’t eaten yet. Lets just say everything that was supposed to happen tonight in magical New York City failed miserably. Now we are waiting for our table in the hotel because of the long wait. Great experience huh? Be back I think I could eat an elephant.
Me and Frances explored Chi Town today and might I say…it was an expirience. Brooke was our producer and he was a darn good one at that. We had to go looking for Obama Supporters and the No-Bama supporters. Lets just say that the No-Bamas were in short supply. We met some pretty funny characters. One man was really cute and Frances went on and on about him, little did we know he was about two steps behind us..oh well. At least we got an interview. :-). Next was a big fanny CEO guy and we could tell he was hurting because when we asked him if he was a supporter he replied, “To early to tell girls, to early to tell…”. Then we went to Grant Park and played with the big glass bean! It was awesome! After a little while we started to rap up because we got all of the interviews and b-roll that we needed. Brooke decided that we should go eat fondue instead of get a regular meal. Little did we know that was the best idea of the day. We went to a little restraunt called the melting pot and ate fondue with marshmellows, bananas, cheesecake, strawberries, shortbread, and chocolate brownies just to name a few. I was in heaven. I will try to upload photos to help descibe how awesome Chicago is. Fran and I rule that town.
This is my first blog on the trip. Very exciting. I just ate some gummie bears and drank a coke. Now I have to pee. We don’t stop for another hour and then we hit Springfield, Illinois. I personally don’t want to eat because I want to save my money for shopping. Between starving and shopping I would chose to starve. About four more hours until the big chi town. Yay I’ll blog about if I made it to the bathroom or not in my next entry. Ta ta 4now.
Hey, This is my first blog and we are just a few days away from leaving for our trip. We are going to be exploring the East Coast baby! I will make sure and give updates every day of our trip. Wahoo!! New York here we come!
